Since 2019, we’ve been covering local music, politics, and news in Atlanta. For the past seven years, we have created solution-based journalism, investigative journalism, music journalism, voter guides, podcasts, media training workshops, among other things.

Now, we’re also putting out music via our newly launched label, producing movies, creating digital series, putting on shows (full-on music festivals, even), hosting more workshops (check out the Media Lab tiers on our Patreon), producing more podcasts. Generally, we are finding out just what all Mainline can do ... and making lots of cool stuff along the way.

As Mainline grows, we want the community around it to grow with us. Resources for independent media are extremely limited as grants and institutional funding are becoming increasingly unreliable or nonexistent. We’re interested in building something more lasting: a strong base of people who read our work, listen to the music, come to our shows, and want to be part of what we’re building.
